Summit Sustainability project understands and promotes sustainability and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by climbing the highest peaks of each continent over seven years, starting in 2024 and ending in 2030. Led by Shanjeevan Amalanathan, the project utilizes captivating documentaries, community engagement, and partnerships with sustainability-aligned organizations. Shanjeevan seeks to elevate awareness and inspire action for a more sustainable future.
Shanjeevan, hailing from Sri Lanka, is an adventure traveler, social activist, and marine conservationist with a deep passion for creating positive change. Since 2019, he has committed to undertaking one meaningful adventure each year, each tied to a specific social cause. From embarking on a cross-country walk to promote peace to climbing the top 10 mountains in Sri Lanka to raise awareness about gender equality, his work combines exploration with purpose. Over the years, he has collaborated with numerous social organizations, INGOs, and NGOs, contributing his time, energy, and skills to support their missions. Driven by a strong belief that individuals can make a difference, Shanjeevan uses his adventures as a platform to inspire communities, raise awareness, and channel attention toward important social and environmental issues. His dedication, hands-on approach, and unwavering commitment continue to motivate others to take action and engage in meaningful change.
